The SiO₂ 2016 Conference will be in Nice, at the Boscolo Hotel Plaza. This 4-star hotel enjoys an exceptional location, facing the mediterranean sea in front of the "Albert 1er" garden, at the end of the tree-lined "promenade du Paillon". In the heart of Nice, located next to the Place Massena and close to the old town, it offers direct access to the seaside and beaches along the famous "Promenade des Anglais".

The Plaza was established in 1850, in the "Belle Epoque" style. It is one of the most impressive historic buildings downtown. Its façade that stretches on 140 meters along the Avenue de Verdun has been completely remodeled by Charles Dalmas in 1910.
